Visitor Ettiquette

• Hopi villages are living communities with houses in close proximity to each other. Respect peoples' privacy. Do not enter yards or homes unless invited. Do not wander beyond the main plaza areas without a guide.

• Photography and recording of any kind are strictly prohibited in all villages and throughout the Hopi Nation. Please leave your camera and cell phone in your locked vehicle. Using photography or recording devices can result in loss of your equipment, film, memory cards, and other data. Any visitor taking photos or recording will be removed from the village and escorted to the reservation boundaries.

• Stay on the main paved highways. Visitors are not allowed to venture on any dirt roads without a guide.
